When I lived in CT, we took the ferry from New London to Montauk, then drove up to Riverhead...yes, to the Pottery Barn outlet store, then on up to Port Jefferson and took the ferry back over to CT. We ended up going back to Port Jefferson...because we got my 2 kids there...my wire foxes, Jake and Lucy.
Montauk is wonderful. I used to spend time out there every summer until life changed things. I scattered my friend David's ashes into the water at Hither Hills State Park in 2004 as per his final request, in remembrance of wonderful times we had out there. I have find memories of dinner at Shag Wong and of course the long lines for pancakes in town on Sunday mornings. Your pictures remind me how much I love the place; I think I'm ready to go back now!
